Slab Leaks - Two Ways To Detect Them

Things were just meant to be broken. There are very few things that cannot with stand the deterioration that comes with time. If you have ever had a slab leak, then you know exactly what I am speaking of. No leak is good, but sometimes slab leaks can be very hard to detect. Because the majority of pipes and piping installed in a house, it can sometimes be decently hard to find them, or know that they are leaking water. In response to this, I thought that I would share a few happening s that might possibly be paired with one of these type problems.

Have you ever noticed a sharp spike in a water bill and been a little confused as to why it happened? Well, many people that noticed sharp increases in their monthly water bills have realized that it was a slab leak. Now, I am not saying that every time a water bill goes up for no reason that it is a slab leak, but it has been known to be a tell tale sign of one. It's just one of those things that every homeowner should know about. You know, it is always good to have a general idea about these sort of things.

Another common sign that is often associated with a slab leak is a hot spot on the floor somewhere. This is a spot where water may have leaked up through the slab and pooled under the floor or tike or something like that.
